Science demands that if we want answers to any question, then we must follow the evidence wherever it leads. People will blindly follow men of science or technology with so little proof but then are so skeptical and closed minded when it comes to the truth of the bible; even though it is made clear it has the answers we are looking for.
2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"
Though the Bible itself is not a book of science it can be researched and found to teach us facts of science that were not known until recent times.
God left his signature on all creation as a testimony to his existence. The Bible contains information that reveals God and proves that He is very real and responsible for all things.
The very first three verses in the very first book of the bible-The Book of Genesis tells us that God created the heavens the earth and in the beginning God created light. If we know the heavens to describe Space, the earth to describe Matter, The Beginning describes Time and the light is obviously describing Energy, then this would describe and confirm an accurate account of what we know to be true today about our universe. How did people of that time era have access to information we call modern science knowledge today?
The bible reveals alot about the accurate account of this planet we live on as well. Things we thought we figured out scientifically have already been declared IN THE BIBLE centuries before modern science.
Isaiah 40:22 Says the Earth is round. In the past however science and explorers said that our world was flat. Science later proved that theory was incorrect and that the world was in fact round just as described in the Bible. Science is just theory and has been incorrect numerous times just to be changed at some time in the future. The bible has held true throughout the ages.
Job 26:7 " He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing" Explains that there is no visible force holding the planet up. Since we cant see gravity and modern science had not yet discovered the theory of gravity, Jobs description was a pretty futuristic truth that wouldnt be discovered as science until Sir Isaac Newton three centuries ago.
Jeremiah 51:15, Zechariah 12:1 Job 9:8 and Isaiah 42:5 tell us that God alone stretches out the heavens meaning the universe is actually stretching as opposed to static. Einstein who taught the static theory admitted his error in 1929 with the new discovery by Edwin Hubble the same year which shows that the universe is indeed expanding.
Job 38:31 says "Can you bind the cluster of Pleiades or loose the belt of Orion" In this scripture God is asking Job about specific star clusters. The reality of this as well has been accepted by scientific world itself. The star cluster Orion has been confirmed to be "loose", meaning it doesnt have the gravitational pull to hold itself together whereas it has also been confirmed that unlike Orion, Pleiades is not loose and is instead gravitationally "bound."
And as one last example Job 38:16 says "Have you entered the springs of the sea?" Springs were discovered at the bottom of the sea in the year 1977 . The bible had declared it to be true 1000's and 1000's of years earlier.
When we take the time to look into the basis for alot of our knowledge and our technology, one realizes that science simply recreates what God has already created. Scientists study birds to learn how to fly, they study animals to learn parenting, survival patterns,the best way to build shelters etc. Techniques and skills so far thought of in advance and so intricate that today man still couldnt recreate on his own without studying the original creations. Without Gods creations....man would not be anywhere close to where they are today scientifically.
I read something on the internet that I thought was worth writiing down to share at a later date. I have not written it down exactly but this is the idea:
When it comes to the truth about God there are only two choices:
Water freezes whether you believe it or not
Poison kills whether you believe it or not
The sky is blue whether you believe it or not
There is a God whether you believe it or not and
There is a heaven and a hell whether you believe it or not
you are going to spend eternity in one or the other
