Day of Atonement: Sept 13 Sundown to Sept 14 Sundown

Day of Atonement Day of Atonement -This is the 5th annual Sabbath. Judaism calls this day Yom Kippur and the Roman calendar uses the same name. This year the Day of Atonement is on September 14, 2013 so in present day keeping in mind a Biblical day goes from sundown to sundown The actual day of atonement this year Sept 13th sundown to Sept 14 sundown This day is known as the HOLY OF HOLY DAYS. This is a fasting and a cleansing day. It shall be a command assembly and you shall fast from food and drink. No work that day. It is a day for you to make an atonement before the Lord. A day specifically set aside to ask forgiveness from God for a years worth of sin. For most of all us that is asking for a lot of forgiveness. :)  This includes family and friends, rivals and anyone else you may have a misunderstanding with.  The ultimate goal is to stop sinning all together and to learn to love one another as Jesus loved us....UNCONDITIONALLY  as if we are all blood relatives.  Leviticus 23:26-32. "Afflict your souls" means to fast from food and drink. This Sabbath pictures the atoning process covered from Passover to Trumpets whereby everyone can be reconciled to God and can be more appropriately described as a DIVINE APPOINTMENT.  Although many have been reconciled to God many still  have not. We must repent, come out of sin, be baptized and receive Gods spirit. As we grow spiritually God can transform our way of thinking and bring us into unity with His ways.

A very sweet girl I know and love ; shes actually my sons girlfriend found this scripture and I thought it was perfect for today. God Bless xoxox

Psalm 51

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions:
and my sin is ever before me.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,
and done this evil in thy sight:
that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest,
and be clear when thou judgest.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts:
and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness;
that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Hide thy face from my sins,
and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence;
and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;
 and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways;
and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation:
and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 O Lord, open thou my lips;
and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it:
thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion:
build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
with burnt offering and whole burnt offering:
then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
