What are the Real Holy Days we are to honour and why we should celebrate them :):)

The Real Holy Days we are to honour and....how they are not only for the "Jewish" who follow Christ ;)

If  unsure that Jesus wanted us to continue to honour these days, one only needs to refer to scripture and follow Jesus' example.  He taught these Holy days to the people and to his disciples so they would continue to teach and honour these days until the days of his return.

There are 7 Holy Days we are to honour listed in the bible. Leviticus 23 lists all of Gods appointed times.

God's plan for mankind is fully revealed through annual observances. He gave us appointed times for us to keep with Him.

It begins with Passover. This is the 1st annual Observance.  This is not an annual Sabbath but is to be observed before the Annual sabbaths. Sabbaths and observances are different but explained fully. A full moon is always associated with Passover. Gods plan of salvation begins with Passover. Exodus 12:1-5 "And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying This month shall be unto you the beginning of the months, it shall be the first month of the year for you." The Exodus out of Egypt was symbolized by Passover until Jesus came. Jesus is our Passover and through his gift of salvation we can be saved from eternal death. All of us have the penalty of death for our sins until we accept Christs gift to remove them. Romans 5:12"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."  Without receiving passover one cannot enter into a relationship with God. Take notice that the religion of Judaism currently holds the passover one day late and the Roman calendar is also in error. The true date for Passover 2013 is Monday March 25th at Sunset to Tuesday March 26th at Sunset.
If unsure whether the gentiles should be observing and not just the Jewish, this annual observance was observed by Jesus and his disciples after he had his last supper with them 1Corinthians 11:23-26 "For which I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you , that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, 'Take, eat: this is my body, which broken for you, this do in remembrance of me'After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, 'This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup ye do shew the Lord's death till he come."    To Honour the passover you would eat a piece of unleavened bread and drink a glass of unfermented wine aka Grape juice ;)

Immediately following Passover is the Feast of Unleavened Bread. This feast lasts 7 days and requires us to eat NO yeast or anything leaven. Leaven in this Holy feast represents sin and we are to be very conscious that week to our sinful actions that we make on a daily basis. The first day of the feast you shall do no servile work and on the final or seventh day there is to be no work. Meaning in the year 2013 you would do no servile work from Tuesday March 26th sunset to Wednesday March 27th sunset and then again no work to be done on the following Wednesday April 3, 2013  .
The Greatest event of all time happened during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.... The Resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ took place during this annual festivity

The Pentecost in the Greek language means "to count 50". The bible shows that 7 sabbaths pass and add one day from the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.  Even though in Israel many of their crops are ready to be harvested before the Passover, there are very specific instructions regarding each of the ceremonies. During Pentecost one cannot eat any of that years harvest until the ceremony was observed.
Pentecost ALWAYS  falls on the first day of the week which is Sunday on a Roman calendar but the day must always be counted from the 1st day of the week during the Feast of Unleavened Bread Leviticus 23:15-17, 20, 21. It is about who will be the firstfruits in the Kingdom of God.  This part of the plan is where man is offered the blessing of becoming part of Gods family. The ceremony is symbolized by two wave loaves of bread. One is unleavened to represent Jesus being without sin, the other loaf is leavened representing the rest of us who although mixed with sin or leaven will be accepted by God if they repent of their sinful ways. The firstfruits will be brought out of sin, forgiven and made clean before God through Jesus. Revelation 7:14 "...these are they which came out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
The story of Pentecost and Unleavened bread are tied closely together and connected to the harvest. Jesus is the firstfruit and the 144,000 mentioned in Revelation are the rest of the firstfruits. This is a powerful story. God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and gave them the 10 commandments. However history shows that they could not keep the laws and that we as human beings are incapable of  keeping Gods righteousness alone. Even today,  the tribe of Judah known as the Jewish people helps to explain the story. All tribes rebelled long before the tribe of Judah did but in the end, even the Jews revealed they didnt know GOD or his ways. Christ found himself being attacked by the very people who were the best example of adherence to Gods laws at the time. However if they understood the laws correctly they would have recognized Jesus as the Messiah. Since this event in history the Jewish people remain to refuse the teachings that came from the Son of God. One must receive the spirit of God in order to understand the will of God; otherwise man will be limited to his own reasoning and will read Gods words with their own perception and meaning. This would explain the the numerous denominations or  religions that have been created.
This is the reason we have rejected God. Man has created his own religious concepts that are more to his liking.
Whether we want to believe it or not, HE will call everyone. Unfortunately most won't humble themselves to hear his call and will leave themselves without Gods favour in the troubling times that are ahead.

Next is The Feast of Trumpets (This is referred to as Rosh Hashanah in Judaism) This year falls on September 4, 2013 sunset to September 5, 2103.  It concerns the second coming of Christ not as a lamb but as a King that will rule on earth. Paul talks about the trumpets in 1Thess 4:13-18 and again in 1Corinthians 15:51-52. When the seventh trumpet sounds the dead in Christ will be raised first and then those that are alive will be lifted up to be with Christ in the air. The final Feast of Trumpets will occur on the very last day of the 3.5 years of the Great Tribulation that is about to come on this earth. The day of Gods Great Wrath. On this day God will humble his people by bringing them down to nothing. Millions and millions will die. Revelation 11:14-15 "And the seventh angel sounded and there were great voices in heaven saying The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."  The return of Jesus will bring an end to all wars. Man cannot accomplish this on our own. I call that a reason to celebrate :)

Day of Atonement -This is the 5th annual Sabbath. Judaism calls this day Yom Kippur and the Roman calendar uses the same name. This year the Day of Atonement is on September 14, 2013.  This day is known as the HOLY OF HOLY DAYS. This is a fasting and a cleansing day. It shall be a command assembly and you shall fast from food and drink. No work that day. It is a day for you to make an atonement before the Lord. Leviticus 23:26-32. "Afflict your souls" means to fast from food and drink This Sabbath pictures the atoning process covered from Passover to Trumpets whereby everyone can be reconciled to God and can be more appropriately described as a DIVINE APPOINTMENT.  Although many have been reconciled to God many still  have not. We must repent, come out of sin, be baptized and receive Gods spirit. As we grow spirtually God can transform our way of thinking and bring us into unity with His ways.

Feast of Tabernacles is the final observance and this feast lasts 8 days ending with The Last Great dayThis year it will be Thursday September 19, 2013- Friday September 27, 2013. The first day shall be a sabbath you shall do no servile work and on the eight day is a sabbath and no servile work to be done. Leviticus 23:41"And ye shall keep it a feast seven days unto the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations; ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month" This Feast pictures the time when God will rule the Kingdom on Earth for 1000 years.  In the final 1000 years everyone will live under Gods rule. When Jesus returns there will only be one religion, one government. Everyone will keep the 7th day Sabbath and the annual Holy days as we should have all along.

WHAT A WONDERFUL THING TO LOOK FORWARD TO XOXOXOXOXOX

It is important to NOTE**You will never see the word Christmas in the bible. It mentions gifts were brought at the actual birth to celebrate that the Saviour had arrived but never gives an exact date of his birth. This makes it very clear that we are not to celebrate Jesus' birthday every year.  You will also notice that the bible doesn't say anything about celebrating birthdays at all.  It was the Romans and Greeks celebrating pagan traditions that created a day of celebrating that is all about us! Even Easter is not mentioned in the bible as a day to be honoured unless you have the version that changed the word "Passover" to Easter. Passover is the correct term ...Easter and its tradition is just not biblical. These are the TRUE HOLY DAYS GOD WANTS US TO HONOUR and the first one is coming up this month. Now that you know.....what will you do?
